July has had some record-high heat; hopefully, you are all staying safe and cool right now. I know as far as bad news goes it’s a drop in the proverbial bucket, but please stay safe.

My Month
So in my personal life, I had to take a break from various commitments to focus on myself and my well being. I want to model positive behavior for you guys as well as for myself and also because I don’t want to be a hypocrite. On a lighter note: I am also trying to finish school. I will be starting or rather restarting school this August. So a lot is going on with me right now.
So, as I’ve said I’ve been busier than usual this month and though I had planned to read more, I haven’t read anything. This makes me feel bad about myself and my reading habits or lack thereof. Not to an extreme, but just enough that it’s becoming a problem. I know it’s not a time issue, since I have been able to watch Loki and also plenty of YouTube. but my lack of motivation when I do carve out the time is at an all-time low. Maybe I need to put a timer on or something as a way of motivating me.

Plant update:
Steve got his first haircut. He looks so much neater; I dare say he looks downright spiffy. He’s getting taller so I must be doing something right. I hope he lives a long life with me. As my first non-succulent plant, I think he’s thriving. I do want to get a secondary houseplant or maybe some outdoor plants. Although I love pets, they just haven’t been for me. Maybe I’m just destined to be a plant mom
.
